The overpass connecting 78th and 79th streets above the Mandalay Railway Station building in Chanayethazan Township in Mandalay, was reopened on the morning of June 6. The overpass, which was closed to traffic in 2021 for safety reasons, has now reopened.
The overpass reopening ceremony was held on the morning of June 6 at Mandalay Railway Station, on 30th street between 78th and 79th streets, Kinsana Mahi Ward, Chanayethazan Township, and was attended by U Ko Ko Htwe, Chanayethazan Township Region Hluttaw Representative, U Tun Tun Win, Chairman of the Chanayethazan Township Management and Administration Committee, and Major Kyaw Lwin Moe of the No. (3) Military Area, Chanayethazan Township Municipal Administrator U Zayar Nyein and officials. People can now cross over from the Mandalay Station building due to the reopening of the overpass.
