A man who shot and killed a man have been arrested in Tachilek, Shan State (East ) on the morning of July 17, according to the Shan State Police. At about 1 a.m. on July 17, Sai Sheng, 36, of Phan Min Village Tract, Tachileik Township, was found with gunshot wounds in a Crown vehicle on Mae Khaung (7) Road, Mae Khaung Ward, Tachilek Town. He died while being taken to the Tachilek District General Hospital for treatment.

The perpetrator was apprehended after the relevant police force investigated CCTV footage from the scene of the incident. It was discovered that the vehicle used by the perpetrator belonged to Sai Kyauk (45), a resident of Phan Min Village, Tachileik Township. The suspect was arrested at his residence and was found with a five-round revolver of American origin and three bullets used in the incident. He has been charged under Section (302) of the Penal Code (murder) and is currently held at Tachileik Township Police Station, according to the Shan State Police Force.
