Over $1.5 million was sold to edible oil importers in the foreign exchange market on July 17, according to the Central Bank of Myanmar. The Central Bank sold over $1.5 million of the foreign exchange purchased from CMP companies to edible oil importers.
In addition, on July 16, it sold over $1 million of the foreign exchange purchased from CMP companies to edible oil importers. The current foreign exchange trading price on the FX Market Online Trading Platform is 3,618 kyats per US dollar, 551 kyats per Chinese yuan, and 133.85 kyats per Thai baht.
