The Thukha Tawwin Housing Complex Phase (2) in Zabuthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area is being implemented, said the Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee.
The Thukha Tawwin Housing Complex Phase (1) consisting of 185 4-room, 4-story buildings with two-bedroom totalimg 2960 apartments has been built on an area of about 69.5 acres of land on south of Pyinmana-Taung Nyo Road, Zabuthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw and sold to the public.
After that, there were more people who wanted to buy, so the Thukha Tawwin Housing Complex Phase (2) is being implemented again on an area of about 31 acres of land, said U Kan Myint Than, Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council.
He made the remarks at the meeting held at the conference hall of the Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee for the construction of the Thukha Tawwin Housing Complex Phase (2) project on June 5. Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Kan Myint Than said that the new PAE rate has been increased to allow construction companies to carry out additional works and renovations instead of the previously given PAE rates to ensure that the buildings can be completed smoothly.
After the Mandalay earthquake, the strength and structural design of the under-construction buildings of the Thukha Tawwin Housing Complex Phase (2) project have been improved to be earthquake-resistant up to 8 magnitude, and permission has been obtained to convert the previous 4-room 5-storey building to a 4-room 4-storey building in accordance with the Myanmar National Building Code (MNBC-2025).
Currently, 18 companies that have won the tender completed a total of 53 buildings including 21 two-bedroom buildings and 32 three-bedroom buildings, and nine QA/QC companies are conducting quality inspections of the buildings.
