Vacant, fallow and virgin lands in Yangon Region, Tanintharyi Region and Magway Region that have not been developed or cultivated for more than four years has been reclaimed, according to a statement from the Central Committee for the Administration of Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Land.
The Central Committee for the Administration of Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Land has approved the revocation of the use rights of 876.16 acres in Yangon Region, 2377.53 acres in Tanintharyi Region and 335 acres in Magway Region, which have not been developed or cultivated within the four-year period.
The revocation operation was carried out in accordance with Section 22 (a) (3) and Rule 57 (b) of the Administration of Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Lands Law and the security paid by those who received permits was also confiscated as state funds. In addition, the Central Committee for the Administration of Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Land will continue to scrutinize land areas that are not developed and developed in accordance with the established rules and regulations and take action in accordance with the law.
