China donated 700,000 yuan worth supplies to the people of Myanmar who were affected by the floods caused by the Typhoon Yagi according to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation.
The relief supplies donated by the China Arts and Crafts Association were received by the permanent secretary of Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement who returned a certificate of honor to the association.
The donation came after Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi met with a Chinese delegation led by Mr. Liu Yong, deputy governor of Yunnan Province, at the office of the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on September 23 afternoon. During the meeting, they cordially discussed cooperation on development of forestry, mineral and environmental conservation sectors between the two countries.
