As Myanmar’s agricultural exports earning is roughly half that of Belarus, it is necessary to make efforts to achieve improvement in modern agriculture and livestock industries, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing made the remarks at the National Economic Development Coordination Meeting held on July 2.

Belarus has a GDP of US$73.1 billion, with agricultural exports generating between US$6.8 billion and US$8.2 billion, while Myanmar’s agricultural and livestock exports account for only US$4.8 billion. Belarus, compared to Myanmar ,is smaller in area and has a lower population, but its GDP is higher, he said.
The Senior General said that he learnt that Belarus was exporting more products through operating modern agricultural and livestock enterprises and increasing its production. He also noted that Belarus is a country that produces and exports advanced agricultural machinery in the world and said that he learnt that in the livestock sector, it utilizes modern equipment to produce dairy products for export.
