The Myanmar Embassy in Korea in Seoul said that nearly 400 Myanmar workers have been sent to the Republic of Korea since last May. 100 new Myanmar manufacturing workers arrived on May 6, 7 service and agricultural workers on May 12, 112 new manufacturing and construction workers on May 13, 120 new manufacturing workers on May 20, and 50 new manufacturing workers on May 27.
Myanmar workers are being sent to the Republic of Korea through the EPS system through the Government Overseas Employment Agency (POEA), and the largest number of manufacturing workers were sent in May. The Myanmar Embassy in Seoul has also informed Myanmar citizens visiting Korea not to bring any prohibited items such as meat, fish, and fruits to Korea to avoid unnecessary obstacles.
