The Myanmar-Korea Friendship (Dala) Bridge project across the Yangon River is reportedly expected to be completed by December. A workshop was held at the Thiri Anawar Hall, Set San Staff family housing of Myanmar Port Authority to prepare for the preliminary safety measures for the vessels passing through the bridge.
Standard procedures and guidelines will be developed to safeguard the safety of large international cargo ships, coastal and inland vessels passing the Yangon River. The resulting standard procedures, guidelines, and regulations will be submitted to appropriate ministries and organizations for approval, and all stakeholders will be widely discussed, educated, and monitored, with necessary actions taken to ensure strict compliance.

In this way, large international merchant ships, both coastal and inland, will be able to safely navigate the Yangon River and the Myanmar-Korea Friendship (Dala) Bridge throughout the day and at night. The Myanmar-Korea Friendship (Dala) Bridge is being built at a total cost of over US$188 million, which includes a loan from the Korean Economic Development Fund and government funding.
