Hindu Family Relief Group has been donating food and medicine to earthquake victims in the Sagaing and Mandalay regions hit by the powerful earthquake since April 1.
The group is donating around 5,000 boxes of vegan rice to earthquake victims in Sagaing and Mandalay regions every day, as well as medicine.
Two centers have been opened in Sagaing and Mandalay and donate rice boxes, one of the vital needs of food and shelter, said U Maung Thein, the head of the Hindu Family Relief Group.

In addition, the Hindu Family Support Group has not only donated since the earthquake occurred but also provided assistance to people during natural disasters like Cyclone Nargis, COVID-19, Cyclone Ragi, and floods, said Dr. Tayza Hein, a responsible person of the Hindu Family Relief Group. In addition, the Hindu Family Relief Group is also assisting people regardless of race or religion, and donations for the earthquake victims will continue as long as they are needed.
