A new 66/11 kV substation is being constructed in Ward 106, Dagon Myothit (South) Township, to provide more electricity to Yangon Region, according to the Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation (YESC).
The YESC is striving to build a new substation and increase the capacity of transformers to provide continuous power to Yangon Region. U Aung Kyaw Oo, Chairman of the YESC, inspected the construction of the new substation and instructed to work hard to provide power during the current financial year. Currently, Yangon Region is providing power on a four-hour alternate basis.
