Dependence on single country to be avoided: SAC Chairman
of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said countries must reduce dependence on a single superpower and expand their partnerships. He made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the “ Myanmar Beyond 2025: Challenges and Opportunities in the Multipolar World,” at the Myanmar International Convention Center-1 (MICC-1) in Nay Pyi Taw on March 21.
Only by doing so can decision-making be flexible, and unnecessary pressures on the unity of partner countries will be unaffected, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. He said that a change in the influence patterns of powerful countries in international relations can be seen, and the role of regional organizations will become more important.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said that the discussions and recommendations of local and foreign experts who will participate in this discussion will greatly contribute to building Myanmar into a modern and developed country by 2025. The event was co-organized by the Ministry of Information and the Myanmar Narrative Think Tank, and attended by local political and economic experts as well as experts from countries such as India, China, Russia, Thailand, Nepal, Japan, and Italy.
