Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing has sent messages of condolence to the President of the Republic of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu and the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, on the loss of many lives due to the crash of Indian Airline Al-171 near Ahmedabad, India on June 12.

The condolence message expressed the condolences and sympathies on behalf of the Government and people of Myanmar to the friends and people of India at the time of grief. It also conveyed the best wishes and remembrance to those who lost their lives in the tragic accident, as well as their families and all those involved. The messages further indicated that Myanmar stands in solidarity with India at this time of grief and extends heartfelt appreciation to the friends.
An Air India flight carrying 242 people from the western Indian city of Ahmedabad to Britain’s Gatwick Airport crashed minutes after takeoff on the afternoon of June 12, killing more than 200 people, Reuters reported, citing authorities.
