The State Administration Council (SAC) Information Team released that another 300 Chinese citizens involved in illegal online scam ( Zha Pian ), online gambling and other criminal activities activities in the Myawaddy -Shwe Kukko and KK Park areas in Kayin State, have been extradited to their respective countries.
The extradition took place on the morning of February 21 through the Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Bridge No. 2 in Myawaddy, with the aim of promoting humanitarian assistance and friendship between the two countries.
According to the confessions of the extradited Chinese citizens, most of them illegally entered Myanmar through border areas by transiting through some neighboring countries and were forced to participate in online fraud and online gambling in the Myawaddy-KK Park area, said the statement.
Currently, 1,763 foreigners who entered Myanmar illegally from January 30 to February 20 have been identified and will continue to be deported as soon as possible, it was announced. So far, more than 500 foreigners have been transferred to their respective countries, including Chinese nationals involved in online fraud.
