Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited the US-based mobile hospital at the sports ground in Zabuthiri Township on April 9 afternoon.
Before visiting the mobile hospital, the SAC Chairman inspected the Myanmar International Convention Center-1 (MICC-1) and the Yanaungmyin Dam damaged by the Mandalay earthquake.

First, Senior General Min Aung Hlaingm accompanied by SAC Secretary General Aung Lin Dway, Union Minister U Myo Thant and officials, inspected the damage to the MICC-1 due to the earthquake and gave necessary instructions.
Then, the Senior General and party went to the Yanaungmyin Dam in Dekkhinathiri Township and inspected the temporary repairs of the cracks caused by the earthquake and gave instructions to complete the work before the rainy season, make the watershed forests green, keep conserving the planted trees as well as to do other necessary things.
Next, they visited the mobile hospital of the US-based Samaritan’s Purse International Relief Organization, which is temporarily operating at the township sports ground in Zabuthiri Township, and Dr. Elliott Tenpenny, the hospital incharge, explained the operations being carried out to patients and the conditions of the hospital to the Senior General and party. The Senior took a tour of the mobile hospital and cordially greeted the patients and expressed his gratitude to the US government and the American people for their assistance.

The mobile hospital is a 60-bed temporary hospital with an outpatient department, emergency department, operating room and laboratory and is providing free treatment and surgery to various patients. The US medical team arrived in Myanmar on April 4 and has been providing health care services since April 7. On April 10, an intensive care unit and two operating rooms will be opened to provide health services.
