The Myanmar Thabin Association has announced that it will provide monthly financial assistance to veteran performing arts masters aged 90 and above.
According to the current census, there are 53 elderly performing artists aged 90 and above in Myanmar. An elderly performing artists fund will be established for them and monthly donations will be made from January 2026. To support this donation, the Chairman of the Myanmar Thabin Association, Myo Shwe Mann Thar Phoe Chit, donated exactly five million kyats.
In addition, the Association plans to set up a money tree of plenty(donation fund) to enable further contributions. Depending on the amount raised through this fund, the minimum age requirement for assistance may be lowered. Therefore, well-wishers who wish to contribute to the donation fund for long-serving elderly performing arts masters are invited to contact the Myanmar Thabin Association to make donations.
