The successful negotiation with the Indian government to export Black gram to India was a significant result, said Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister General Mya Htun Oo, Chairman of the Government -Private Trade Promotion Council.
He made the remarks at a meeting of the Government -Private Trade Promotion Council held in Nay Pyi Taw on May 22.
General Mya Htun Oo also called for relevant government and private organizations to coordinate and draft the Plan of Action (PoA) selecting sectors for the National Export Strategy (2026-2030). In addition, obtaining an Open General License-OGL before March 2025 and conducting Government to Government (G to G) negotiations with the Indian government were significant results of the council, he said.
Additionally, the MSME Product Exhibition and Competition was held at the union level. During the exhibition, MSME business owners were provided assistance to connect with domestic and international markets and facilitated access to loans by connecting them with banks, therefore , export business owners were able to gain substantial benefits, said General Mya Tun Oo.
