Myanmar drew US$ 235 million foreign direct investment in 8 months of 2024-2025 financial year from April to November, according to data from Directorate of Investment Company Administration.

During 8 months, there have been 41 foreign investments entered into the country and manufacturing sector investments included 35 industries taking the top position. In other sectors, agricultural sector received one, energy sector two, transport sector one and services sector two respectively.

Among the investment amount in 35 industries, manufacturing sector received US$ 92 million and US$ 87 million in transport sector, US$ 50 thousand in agriculture sector, US$ 8 million in energy sector and US$ 44 million in services sector respectively. In current financial year the investment amount of Singapore has been the largest, investing US$ 89 million in three industries. After Singapore, China and Thailand stood in second place.
