As an opportunity to build blue economy, Myanmar possesses potentials for offshore oil and natural gas long term extraction, renewable energy like solar, hydro and wind power and other good potentials, said the State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo.
The chairman of the committee emphasized the message at the state level meeting of Coastal Resources Management Central Committee held at the Ingyin Hall of the Department of Forest, Ministry of Natural Resources & Environmental Conservation in Nay Pyi Taw on January 10, morning.
There are not only many opportunities for Blue Economy but also challenges to be resolved, therefore, effective solutions must be discovered, said General Mya Tun Oo.
