The Myanmar Rice Federation is planning to implement a reporting system for rice movement between regions, according to the Myanmar Rice Federation.
The system was discussed at a meeting held at the office of Myanmar Agribusiness Public Corporation (MAPCO) on May 9 by officials from the Myanmar Rice Federation, Myanmar Rice and Paddy Traders Association and rice wholesalers and retailers. At the meeting, matters on selling rice at fixed reference prices, registering it in the warehouse registration system (MyRO) in accordance with the requirements were discussed.

In addition, the attendees to the meeting discussed monthly sales, stocks and inventory levels should be recorded on the specified date, issues related to warehouse inspections, reference price and the procurement of rice. The Department of Consumer Affairs sets and publishes reasonable reference prices for rice every month and has informed rice dealers that when selling rice in the market, the price should not be more than eight percent above the reference price.
