In the final group match of the AFC U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers, the Myanmar U-17 team and the Syria U-17 team competed on the evening of November 30 at Yangon’s Thuwunna Stadium. The match ended with one goal each, and as a result, Myanmar qualified for the next round as group winners without losing a single match.
Although a draw was enough for Myanmar to qualify in this match, they played with the determination of winning. Syria, on the other hand, needed a victory in order to have a chance of qualifying, so both teams played with strong determination, resulting in an exciting match.
Since this was a crucial qualifier for Myanmar U-17, the stadium was filled with supportive Myanmar fans, creating a very encouraging atmosphere for the team.
Myanmar was placed in Group G of the qualifiers along with Afghanistan, Nepal, Oman, and Syria. Having finished the group stage with three wins and one draw maintaining unbeaten, they successfully qualified and earned a place in the 2026 AFC U-17 Asian Cup, which will be held in Saudi Arabia.
