Union Minister for Finance and Revenue Dr. Kan Zaw said that it is necessary to collect the tax revenue that is due and owed without corruption, at a meeting on exceeding the tax collection target for the fiscal year 2025-2026 held at the Internal Revenue Department in Nay Pyi Taw on the morning of August 18.
Tax education activities need to be widely explained to taxpayers so that they can understand and use the taxes that should and should be paid to the state for public benefit, according to relevant tax laws, and that it is necessary to collect the tax revenue that is due and owed without corruption, said Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw.

Only then will the taxpayers public understand and accept that the taxes they have paid are being primarily used for public welfare projects, trust in the tax offices will increase, he said. Therefore, relevant tax officials should make concerted efforts to meet and exceed the tax collection targets set for the 2025-2026 financial year as a national responsibility, Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw said.
