Thomas Müller was already an all-time great at Bayern Munich, but he’s gone and added to that status on Sunday.
The 34-year-old came off the bench in the second half against Freiburg and made some impressive history in the process.
His introduction was the 710th time he had made a competitive appearance for Bayern Munich. That breaks the 45-year-old record previously held by Sepp Maier.
Muller is a Bayern legend. He has had 17 seasons there, is a record 12-time Bundesliga winner, and has won a whopping 32 trophies with the club. Plus, he is still only 35, so there could yet be more success to come for the one-club man.
