According to passengers, some buslines between Yangon- Myawaddy take more charges on some passengers especially on those holding National Registration Card No. 13/ are charged more fares.
Some Myawaddy buslines said that the passengers holding National Registration Card No. 13/ are charged from Ks. 450,000 to Ks. 700,000 rather than regular fare Ks. 150,000.
Some buslines even refuse to allow the passengers holding National Registration Card No. 13/ to take the line .
But an official from YRTC said that the directive is given to sell at the same fare anyone holding National Registration Card. Inconveniences are happening because of rising Yangon-Myawaddy bus fares, according to claims by passengers.
