Myanmar held the Philippines to a 1-1 draw in the second group match of the 2024 ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024 held in Manila, Philippines, on December 12 evening.
Myanmar lost to Indonesia at home in their first opening match with a 0-1 result. Therefore, they tried their best to win the away match against the Philippines but were satisfied with a draw result.Myanmar took the lead in the 25th minute with a free kick from Maung Maung Lwin but the host team equalized the score through a penalty kick in the 72nd minute.
After playing two group matches, Myanmar has one point in Group B after losing one and drawing one. Myanmar will next face Laos, who held a 3-3 draw to Indonesia in the same group, at home on December 18 and Vietnam away on December 21.
