Home favourite Arthur Guillebert won the season opener of the men’s Freestyle-Kite World Cup in windy conditions in Dunkirk, France. The Frenchman finished ahead of Maxime Chabloz from Switzerland in second and German Finn Flugel in third.
In the women’s competition Brazil’s reigning champion Bruna Kajiya secured victory beating Rita Arnaus (Spain) and Kaya Lehmann (Germany) into second and third respectively.
The competitors had seven attempts to perform tricks with the highest four scores deciding the result.
