A gang carrying drugs worth more than 20 billion kyat was arrested in Nay Pyi Taw on June 25, Myanmar Police Force announced. On June 25, at 7:00 a.m., Naypyitaw Council area, Leway Township, a pickup truck was searched at the Taung Sin inspection station and 13.44 million drugs pills worth 20.16 billion kyats were seized from the vehicle along with two people. According to the investigations, 3 people who were involved in transporting the drugs were arrested in Yamaethin Township and another 3 people were arrested in Pyinmana Township. In addition, 1 man was arrested in Shwe Pyithar Township, Yangon Region, who was arranged to carry drugs. According to the statement, legal action has been taken against those caught and the chain perpetrators are still being investigated.
