State Administration Council Chairman and Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with national security chiefs of BIMSTEC member countries and BIMSTEC secretary-general on July 25 at the office of the Chairman of SAC in Nay Pyi Taw.
At the meeting, they discussed cooperation on taking measures of anti-narcotic drugs , counter-terrorism, human trafficking and cyber security as well as overcoming challenges faced by the regional countries through cooperation among the member countries.
And, they discussed on the matter how Myanmar would successfully host the 4th BIMSTEC security chiefs meeting.
Besides, they also discussed Myanmar’s current political development and efforts to make preparations for holding a free and fair general election.
