European Union (EU) announced on August 27 that it has donated 200,000 Euros to help the flood victims all over Myanmar.
According to the announcement, the donation was made to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to help the affected people.
It will help in increasing the humanitarian issues in the most affected areas such as Karen State, Mon State, Ayeyarwaddy Region, Bago Region (East) and (West), Tanintharyi Region and Yangon Region.
The donation is part of the European Union’s total contribution of €8 million to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies’ (IFRC) Disaster Response Emergency Fund to address disasters around the world.
