Yangon Region Public Health Department monitored more than 9,000 people arriving from foreign countries at Yangon International Airport and there were no suspected monkeypox patients have been found.
Currently, people entering from foreign countries are required to measure their body temperature, checking the health declaration and also warning to passengers is being carried out continuously, according to Yangon Region Public Health Department.
If a suspected monkeypox patient is found, they are prepared to continue to send them to Waibargi Hospital and provide health care.
In order to prevent Mpox (monkey pox) disease, passengers arriving from international airports and waterways must fill in health information, Ministry of Health announced.
