Barcelona boss Hansi Flick is still not sure when new signing Dani Olmo will make his debut as the club are yet to register him with La Liga.
It has been almost three weeks since Barcelona completed the marquee signing of Spain’s Euro 2024 hero Olmo from RB Leipzig, however, they are yet to register the player with La Liga due to the club’s financial constraints. The Catalan giants have parted ways with Ilkay Gundogan, who returned to Manchester City, and Vitor Roque is on his way to join Real Betis on loan.
However, the two departures are not enough as they need to offload a few more players before they can accommodate the Spain international in their squad.
The Blaugrana included Olmo in their matchday squad for Saturday’s clash against Athletic Bilbao, however, his participation in the game was subject to being registered. After missing the Spaniard’s service in yet another match, Flick was asked about Olmo’s situation, to which the German coach claimed that he had no idea when the attacking midfielder could finally take the field.
