Myanmar and China bilateral meeting was held on the evening of August 14 at the office of SAC Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw and Chinese side said that it will provide necessary assistance regarding Myanmar election.
SAC Chairman, Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and officials attended the meeting and China’s Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Political Bureau Member, Foreign Affairs Minister Mr. Wan Yi and officials also attended.
In this meeting, Myanmar side discussed the conditions under which all parties are able to compete freely in accordance with the law on the registration of political parties in the conduct of the elections, the conditions in which the multi-party democratic general election is being carried out, and the conditions in which the economic cooperation between the two countries can be continued to be increased.
Regarding China’s discussion, China always supports Myanmar’s stability and development and that it will provide the necessary technical assistance related to the census and the necessary assistance regarding the election.
In addition, China wants to encourage the participation of all stakeholders in Myanmar election.
After that, in the discussion on Myanmar’s side, Myanmar will not accept any issues that will harm China’s interests, and it will not be accepted through Myanmar.
