Agencies that are unable to submit salary statements to the families of Burmese workers sent abroad will be temporarily suspended, according to the Myanmar Overseas Employment Agencies Federation(MOEAF).
The agencies have been instructed by the Ministry of Labor to report in detail the circumstances of sending family remittances for each worker it sends.
Vice president of MOEAF U Kyaw Tin Kyaw said that they are working to compile and present the situation of workers’ family remittances to the relevant ministry in detail.
The Ministry of Labour also instructed the relevant agencies have been notified by the Ministry to prepare a list of family remittances for the workers sent from September last year to April this year, attach a Microsoft Excel soft copy with the proof of remittance, and send it no later than the 5th day of the beginning of each month starting from June.
Agencies that do not submit family remittance accounts on time will temporarily suspend the sending process and will also collect fines, the Ministry of Labor has announced.
