Acting President U Myint Swe is on medical leave due to his current health condition and is receiving medical treatment, so that the duties of the Acting President have been handed over to the Chairman of SAC and Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
Acting President (Responsible), Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said the need to maintain peace and stability in the area and to carry out the population and household census in order to obtain valid and accurate ballots during the election, the right to serve in accordance with the Constitution has been extended for another 6 months, according to Article 425 of the Constitution.
After a round discussion by the committee members and specially invited members, including the Acting President (Responsible) Commander-in-Chief unanimously decided to extend the state of emergency for another 6 months in accordance with Article 425 of the Constitution.
