The tornado struck in Yangon Region, Kunchangone Township, Kanyingone and Nyaungnigone Village, around 4:00 A.M, on July 26, According to Myanmar Fire Services Department.
Rescue Teams from Kunchangone Township Fire Station and Kaw Mhuu Township Fire Station carried out search and rescue operations and clearing operations in these affective villages.
More than 70 houses were damaged and some residents were injured in the villages that were hit by the tornado, the local resident said.
Locals also said that they need emergency shelters and help to rebuild their homes.
