In Karen State, Myawaddy, four people including a child died in the flood due to the rising water of Thaungyin River, according to an official of the Z-Rescue emergency rescue.

In recent days, four men including a child drowned due to floods in Myawaddy and the bodies were found when the water receded on July 28, according to an official of the Z-Rescue emergency rescue.
Due to the flood, basic education schools in Myawaddy are still temporarily closed and the silt remains when the water recedes, the schools will be reopened after cleaning.
Last July 27, nearly five thousand flood victims in Myawaddy Township were relocated to 11 temporary relief camps, according to the Karen State government.
