Opium cultivation and production in Myanmar declines compere to previous year, according to the statement by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) report .
Previously in 2023, Myanmar stood the biggest source of opium, producing 1080 tons of opium and drug.
In current year 2024, opium production declines with 995 tons of opium, according to the report. U Soe Win, Chief of police (Rtd), chairman of Myanmar anti-drug organization explained how the opium production decreased.
