Italian top seed Jannik Sinner beat Jiri Lehecka of the Czech Republic on Monday (September 30) to set up a semi-final meeting with Bu Yunchaokete at the China Open.
World number one Sinner was pushed hard in the second set but eventually ran out a 6-2 7-6(6) winner in a match lasting an hour and 46 minutes.
Sinner will face Bu in Tuesday’s semi-final after the Chinese world number 96 upset fourth seed Andrey Rublev of Russia 7-5 6-4 to advance.
