SAC Information Team announced on September 29 that 20 Chinese nationals including China’s wanted fugitive Chen Tawei, who were involved in online scams were arrested and handed over to China.
Criminals led by China’s wanted fugitive Chen Tawei were found in Yangon and Mandalay and they were operating online scams, who were arrested in July this year according to reports.
According to the announcement, 20 Chinese nationals including Chen Tawei were transferred to China on September 19th with sufficient guards to allow them to proceed according to the procedures in China.
It has also been announced that it will cooperate with law enforcement organizations in neighboring countries in order to prevent and combat online scams and online gambling in Myanmar’s border areas.
