A ceremony to consecrate the relics of the Buddha and Arhats took place at Maha Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand, on September 17 morning in conjunction with an event to offer lunch meal and provisions to 750 Buddhist monks from foreign countries learning studies for PhD, MA and BA degrees.
Led by Sayadaw Ashin Kumara, assistant disciple of the Alodawpyae Sayadaw of Alodawpyae Buddhist Monastery in Yangon, donors from Thailand and Myanmar collectively organized the event.
The event was attended by the Buddhist monks as well as by Thai officials, donors and some artists.
It is learned that the donation was made with a dedication to the father and mother of the Alodawpyae Sayadaw and Sayadaw Ashin Kumara paying respects to the Aloedawpyae Sayadaw.
