Heavy rain and strong winds may occur in regions and states due to the speed of the whirlwind that occurred in the central and northwestern regions of Myanmar, according to a special weather statement issued by Department of Meteorology and Hydrology on the morning of September 12th.
The whirlwind continued to move west-northwest and it can continue to exist in the lower part of the Sagaing region, north of Magway Region, Chin State and Rakhine State, and it is said that it may reach the coast of Bangladesh and the northwestern Bay of Bengal in the next 36 hours.
Due to the speed of the whirlwind, there may be thunderstorms in various places in the lower part of the Sagaing region, Magway Region, Chin and Rakhine State from the morning of September 12th to September 15th.
And there may be scattered showers and thunderstorms in almost the entire country and strong winds may occur along with heavy rain in places, according to statement.
