In addition to regular trains, special trains will be operated to facilitate travel of the people and departmental employees during the Maha Thingyan New Year holiday.
Special trains will be operated on April 11, 12, 20 and 21 on the Yangon-Pyay and Yangon-Mawlamyine routes.
On April 11, 12, 20 and 21, the down special train will depart from Yangon at around 9:15 am and arrive in Mawlamyine at around 6 pm. The up special train will depart from Mawlamyine at around 9:10 am and arrive in Yangon at around 5:55 pm.
On April 11, 12 and 21, the up special train will depart from Yangon at around 1 pm and arrive in Pyay at around 8:55 pm. On those days, the down special train will depart from Pyay at around 10:30 pm and arrive in Yangon at around 6:30 am.

In addition to the special trains, Yangon-Mandalay trains No.11 Up and No. 12 Down will run as usual, while Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw DEMU trains No. 7 Up and No.8 Down will run on April 10, 12 and 21.
Myanma Railways has taken measures to repair the railway sections damaged by the earthquake to be able to be reoperated as soon as possible, and trains were able to resume operation on the Yangon-Mandalay railway section on April 5. Currently, trains on the Yangon-Mandalay railway section have resumed operation on time and at the same speed as before the earthquake.
In addition, train tickets will be sold three days in advance for upper-class coaches and one day in advance for ordinary-class coaches. The ticket prices and stops at the stations are the same as those of regular trains.
