Mawlamyine-Yangon express down train services will resume on May 10, according to a statement from Mawlamyine Railway Station. The No. 82 down train, departing from Mawlamyine Railway Station, will be operated using airbag express train carriages. Due to the detonation of the bridge near Hnin Pale Station and Taung Soon Station on the Mawlamyine-Yangon railway line on May 6, two train routes were temporarily canceled.

Repairs to the railway bridge near Hnin Pale Station and Taung Soon Station are expected to be completed soon. High-class advance tickets for the resumed train service will be available to purchase at the Mawlamyine Railway Station advance booking booth on May 8, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Ordinary class advance tickets will be sold on May 9.
