Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe received Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Mr Deng Xijun at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw on March 10 morning.
At the meeting, they discussed matters on stepping up the cooperation for further enhancement of peace and stability along the Myanmar-China border area, focusing on the need to further strengthen the existing Shwemyo Paukphaw relations between Myanmar and China and accelerate mutually beneficial cooperation. In addition, they also discussed the continued cooperation to further promote peace and stability along the Myanmar-China border area, the latest developments in the internal peace and national reconciliation process, and China’s continued positive support for Myanmar’s efforts to achieve long-term peace and stability in the country and socio-economic development of the people.
In addition, they discussed accelerating cooperation between relevant organizations of the two countries to jointly combat the growing online gambling and fraud networks in the border region and supporting each other on regional and international platforms and matters of mutual interest.
