The consecration ceremony (Buddhābhiṣeka ) and water pouring ceremony (Yaysetcha) of the sacred Shwedagon Pagoda will be held on May 15th at 7:30 AM, according to sources. The event will take place in a specially decorated pavilion (Mingalar Mandat)at the northern platform of the Shwedagon Pagoda, specifically at the north-west corner where the land of success area lies, according to the pagoda’s board of trustees.
The 2024-2025 Shwedagon Pagoda’s full-length golden robe donation ceremony began on November 18, 2024, and was completed on March 31, 2025. Therefore, the Shwedagon Pagoda Treasurer’s Committee invites all donors of the golden robes to attend the ceremony, listen to the anumodana sermon, pour water sharing merits.
