Myanmar won two tourism awards out of three categories submitted in the ASEAN Tourism Forum held in Johor, Malaysia in January, according to Shan State Government.
The forum has planned three categories of awards and they include ASEAN Community-Based Tourism Award, ASEAN Spa Service Award, and ASEAN Public Toilet Award. Myanmar competed in all three categories. The community-based tourism(CBT ) enterprise in See Kya Inn village in Pindaya township submitted for ASEAN Community-base Tourism Award, Jasmine Spa from Jasmine Taunggyi Hotel for ASEAN Spa Services Award and the public Toilet at Sulamuni Pagoda for ASEAN Public Toilet Award.
Out of the categories competed, community-based tourism (CBT )enterprise in See Kya Inn village in Pindaya won ASEAN Community-base Tourism Award and the public Toilet at Sulamuni Pagoda received ASEAN Public Toilet Award.
