Member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister General Mya Htun Oo has instructed officials to make arrangements to relocate civil servants and their families to the completed modular houses in the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory as soon as possible.
Union Minister General Mya Htun Oo inspected construction and completion status of modular houses on May 18 and met with ministry officials. At the meeting with officials, he also gave inspections on placement of the modular houses under construction, digging of tube-well, fulfilment of the needs for water, electricity and sewage facilities, and convenient access for people and vehicles and safety of construction workers.
Modular houses are being built on lands owned by departments under the ministry within the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory. Currently, the Ministry of Transport and Communications has received six modular offices and 156 modular houses from the National Disaster Management Committee for Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory. Of these, four modular offices and 34 modular houses have been completed and the remaining ones are being constructed to be completed as soon as possible.
