Outstanding YBS drivers selected by the public among YBS drivers who pay attention to the safety of passengers will be honored, it is learnt from Yangon Region Transport Committee (YRTC). Formerly, outstanding driver award and responsible driver award were conferred but in this year, public selected best driver award will be honored for the first time.
The award honoring ceremony will be held in January and public selected best driver award will be given based on public selection through social media, said U lyan Cin Mang, Joint secretary of YTRC.
In 2023, 44 Outstanding Driver awards and 54 Responsible Driver awards had been honored and 21 buslines had been given Certificates of Honor and gifts. As a token of honor, Outstanding Driver award winner received Ks.400,000 and Responsible Driver award winner received Ks.200,000.
