One man trapped in the rubble of the collapsed Ayechantha Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw was rescued alive on the fifth day after the powerful earthquake.
The hotel located in Pobbathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, collapsed due to the very strong earthquake on March 28.
As it was learned that two employees were still alive in the hotel collapse, the special rescue team of Myanmar Fire Services Department and members of GEA Search and Rescue of Turkiye (Turkiye Police) began the joint rescue operation at 3 pm on April 1. At 12:30 am on the following day, the hotel maintenance worker, Maung Naing Lin Htun, was rescued alive.
The rescue operation is being carried out to be able to rescue the remaining one.
