The Myanmar Red Cross Society is distributing drinking water to earthquake-affected people. The drinking water is being distributed in four locations.
With the help of the Chinese Red Cross Society, drinking water has been distributed beside the moat in Mandalay, Amarapura, Sagaing and Nay Pyi Taw using water purifiers, said Daw Moe Thita Win, Director of the Disaster Management Department of the Myanmar Red Cross Society. (Interview)
The distribution of drinking water is said to be between five thousand and ten thousand litres per day.
For the convenience of those who come to collect water, they are provided with ready-to-use plastic bottles, or they can come and bring water with their own bottles.
Myanmar Red Cross Society distributed more than thirty thousand litres of water to 1,238 households from April 5 to April 15.
